Suffer Better hosted the inaugural Colorado version of Jared Campbell’s successful Utah-based Running Up for Air on March 31, 2018.  40 enthusiastic runners took up the cause, running for 3, 6 and 12 hours on a beautiful course that started at 7700 feet and summited at 8500 feet with spectacular views of Mt Evans and Denver.  Each lap was a 2.7 mile circuit of forest road and rugged trail through a beautiful pine forest. Participants in the inaugural year ran hundreds of miles, climbing thousands of feet and raised over $3,000.00 for Conservation CO, a local 501c3 organization, to support their work and advocacy to improve our air.

Onward and upward for 2019!

Mark your calendars for March 9, 2019.

Register here.

Runners will once again wind their way through spectacular pine and aspen forest for either 3, 6 or 12 hours - doing well and doing good to improve our Front Range air quality.

Our poor winter air is not just unsightly, but can be bad for us too. RUFA-CO is our chance, and yours, to put our good energy into making that better.

The course, a 4-mile up and down loop on forest roads and rocky trails through pine and aspen forest, starts at 7700' and tops out at just under 8500', with views to the west of Mt. Evans and to the east of the oft-smog-shrouded Denver metro area. March weather in CO can be about anything - bluebird and 70, frosty and blizzard, or somewhere in between. Whatever it is - we’ll be there. You, too, we hope.
